Story description[ | ]
The loom-chambers below stairs thunder and smoke. There are rows upon rows of hour-looms, each tended by weavers with their hair pinned tightly back. The heat of the cooking combines with the shudder of machinery in pandemonium. Watching over it all are the theoretical engineers, access to them barred. 'Engineers only' states the sign, in an angry font.

She realises you're still there and dismisses you, saying she can find her own way back.

| Any introduction of the princess to engineers is a good one
When you're led further into Perdurance, it seems that the guards have fell for your ruse. It's only when you're pushed against the wall you suspect otherwise – a position which is confirmed when you're punched in the stomach.
When they raise their fists to the Princess she tuts firmly. They apologise and begin manhandling you towards the exit. "Thank you for getting me back here, Captain," she says. "What will the Engineers say about change, the prevention thereof and how change tries to break free? Oh, I'm so thrilled!" She heads off, cooing at the machinery, while you're politely and (mostly) firmly shown the door.

| Rude mechanicals
All it takes is a few gibberish statements about levers and cogs and the guards are entirely convinced that you're an Engineer. You're rushed into a meeting of your 'peers'.
